Dallas E Timmons was born March 20, 1940, at home in Hordville, NE, the son of Ernest and Irma (Ortegren) Timmons. Dallas was raised in Hordville graduating from high school, with the class of 1957. He entered the United States Air Force, serving from 1958 to 1966.
He was united in marriage to Betty Ann Brown on December 31, 1959. They were married for 40 years. Dallas and Betty had four children: Betsy, Dale, Jody, and Brian. During Dallas’ military years the family lived in Minnesota, Germany, Texas, and Nevada before settling in Hordville in 1967. Dallas passed away July 20, 2012.
Dallas was a truck driver, owning a trucking company, and was a feedlot manager. He built and founded Bunker Hill Cattle Co. in 1991, retiring in 2011. He was a member of the Saddle Club, the Platte Deutsche and a 40-year member of the American Legion. Dallas also had a l ove for Harley Davidson Motorcycles.
